Our $26 million creative industries campus at Coomera continues to attract international appeal. A delegation from The Mahakarya Institute of Arts (TMIA) Brunei, including a member of the royal family, participated in a signing ceremony with TAFE Queensland – Gold Coast Region. The signing ceremony represents the beginning of a relationship between the two organisations, with an aim to build a strong film and television industry in Brunei. This partnership aims to generate projects across a variety of support fields.
The ceremony was attended by (from L-R): Ms Janelle Chapman, Executive Director, TAFE Queensland International; Ms Siti Kamaluddin, co-founder of TMIA and the first female film director in Brunei; Lady Munji Athirah, co-founder of TMIA and member of the Brunei Royal Family; Ms Karen Dickinson, General Manager, TAFE Queensland – Gold Coast Region; Dr Alex Fischer, Educational Director and co-founder of TMIA; His Excellency Haji Zakaria bin Haji Ahmad, High Commission of Brunei Darussalam.
