Fun Student Activity in appreciation of NAIDOC WEEK  2-9 JULY 2017

Students at the Southport Campus were invited to participate in the making of dot paintings as an interactive craft activity this morning in appreciation and awareness of the official NAIDOC Week celebrations being held across the nation from 2-9 July 2017.

Students at the Southport Campus were invited to participate in the making of dot paintings as an interactive craft activity this morning in appreciation and awareness of NAIDOC Week.

The demonstration commenced at 10am at the Southport Campus with students able to make their very own dot painting crafts over the next two hours using various textures and paints on mediums which included paper, towelling and canvas.

Students had lots of fun and the opportunity to learn some new skills whilst making their very own beautiful pieces of dot art that they could then take home as a memento.

NAIDOC week is held every July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples.
